What is Mindfulness?
The practice of maintaining a nonjudgmental state of heightened or complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis.

Yoga asana practice at PURE heightens mindfulness through the physical body by keeping you focused on body alignment with breath coordination and control. The teacher delivers specific instructions so that your mind can stay laser-focused on the present moment. This repetitive practice of concentration is what leads to stillness of thoughts, actions, and emotions.
Continued daily practice of yoga asana translates outside the yoga room. Can you pause for a deep breath when a negative emotion arises? Can you observe those emotions and let them go, rather than react? Can you exercise better self-control?
