Jim Holzknecht: A Celebration of Life

We are honored to help celebrate and memorialize Jim’s tremendous impact on the world. A former football player for the University of Washington, Jim Holzknecht went on to become a best-selling author, an award winning producer, a passionate yoga teacher, and an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to cross his path. Jim dedicated his life to empowering others to lead a life they loved, and his impact will be felt for years to come.

Jim passionately hosted the podcast Play by Play on Life (bit.ly/playbyplayonlife) on how to get unstuck, reduce burnout, stress and anxiety while increasing joy, happiness, fun, creativity, inspiration, and purpose.
Jim also co-produced the feature film Beyond Belief (beyondbeliefthemovie.com or bit.ly/beyondbeliefmovie).
Jim wrote many beloved books, loved by both children and adults, including: Alpha Bravo Charlie: ABC Alphabet Book, Midlife Play Book: 21 Day Game Plan To Get Your Fun Back!, Beyond Belief - The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, and more.
In addition, he has written, produced and directed several educational documentary films.
After being diagnosed with cancer, Jim created both Jumping Jim and Cicada Rising, non-profits aiming to support others diagnosed with Cancer and their families. Click here to donate to Cicada Rising.
Here at PURE, Jim taught over 1,800 Original Hot Yoga classes, impacting the lives of countless others and inspiring them to lead long, vibrant, and healthy lives. Jim found the yoga after leaving Russia and finding himself in a “stressful” period of his career. After committing to a 60 day challenge, Jim ended up completing 862 classes in a row - revolutionizing his concentration, strength, and energy-levels.
